TYP Speaks Out

About This Project

For our new project, we have decided to bring our focus to high school students right here, in Howard County. This project, TYP Speaks Out is a TED-style event. The theme for our 2019 conference is change; our focus is to inspire youth to embrace and drive change in their communities. Some of our speakers will pitch their ideas for creating change to a board of nonprofits that will offer to fund their project. On top of this, we have invited numerous celebrities to come and speak to draw attention to the event as well as to show students that hard work and dedication is what it takes to bring change to the world. We have decided to host this event on March 23rd.

We have brought in four influencers and four Howard County students to push attendees to become agents of change. Each speaker has been meticulously chosen to fit the needs of Howard County Students.
